Many people are wondering why Naeema Massage and Wellness has undergone a re-brand. It is all about sharing three things that make us happy with the Atlanta Community and the world. When you get a massage, the brain releases oxytocin. "Often called the "love hormone" oxytocin promotes trust, reduces stress, and increases during physical touch (Harvard Health, 2026). That is not all! Getting a massage also releases endorphins. How does it work? "The pressure applied during a massage triggers the brain's pituitary gland to release these endorphins, often resulting in a deep sense of calm, euphoria, and reduced cortisol levels" (University of Guelph). Singing also stimulates the vagus nerve. Stimulating the vagus nerve reduces depression and anxiety. Singing is also good for our lungs. "We often take our lungs for granted, but most of us rarely use them to their full capacity. The way singing requires you to breathe makes you do just that, increasing your lung capacity as well as engaging the muscles around the rib cage"(Operanorth, 2026). The great thing about singing is that you don't have to sound like a professional singer to reap the benefits. In addition, when we sing with others, it promotes emotional bonding, bolstering trust and safety.

Why Does Playing Games Make Us Feel Good

How does gaming help us feel good? Playing games sharpens mental alertness and cognition. Winning makes us feel confident and proud of ourselves. Playing games is a stress reducer as well. "Board games offer significant mental, emotional, and social benefits, including improved cognitive function (memory, logic, and strategic planning), stress reduction, and increased social connection" (City of Asheville, 2026). Many of us have high-stress jobs. Playing games is a way to combat work-related stress. Playing games with co-workers is excellent for team building, as it is a way for employees to bond, build trust, and form deeper connections. This will ultimately aid in greater workplace productivity.
